Project Description: As communities, educators and students respond to a continuing cycle of violence in and near schools or involving students, there is an unmistakable need and growing call for a collaborative effort to address the broad range of issues that all play a role in school safety and in reducing incidents of violence affecting schools and the students they serve. The CO Safer Schools Initiative was formed by education and policy non-profits and experts to provide additional support to existing state efforts, draw on the expertise of an even larger set of stakeholders and expand the opportunities for stakeholder input.
